Help For Dad after Hurricane Harvey

Hello all. I'm Maisha Carter from Chicago and I am creating this campaign to raise funds for my father, a retired school teacher and senior citizen, who is one of the many victims of Hurricane Harvey.  He had to evacuate from his home in Harris county (Houston area) and made his way back days later to find a flooded garage and first floor... all flooring, sheet rock/walling, doors, furniture, major appliances, etc was damaged/destroyed. This is the first time my family has been directly affected by a disaster like this and like so many others , were not prepared. No flood insurance. Funds are needed immediately to complete clean up to prevent mold and to repair the home so that he can occupy it again. This will help someone deserving in need directly. We do not know how long FEMA or the major charities will take to assist the victims. We cannot wait. Your help is appreciated. Blessings!
