On Sunday January 28, 2018 Curt was playing legos with the kids when his back started to hurt. He thought it was just a strained muscle, so he took some ibuprofen and continued playing. The back pain was increasing so he went downstairs when suddenly his legs collapsed under him and he hit the floor.
Kelsie ran upstairs and told Melissa , Daddy needs to go to the doctor. Curt was rushed to the ER. He was admitted that night. After many MRIs, CT scans, spinal tap, etc. his current diagnosis is transverse myelitis. He’s being treated with heavy steroids, praying that mobility will soon return to his lower body.
Curt has a long road ahead to regaining his strength and mobility. He is also the primary bread winner for his family. Any donations to help with living expenses and medical costs will be greatly appreciated.
