Help for Ashley and Justin Mosier

As many of you know and have followed Ashley’s story she has had a rollercoaster ride of her health over the last few years but more specifically over the past 6 weeks.
Ashley has had stomach/GI issues for the past few years but has really kicked up in the last few months. She ended up in the hospital after her colon completely shut down and stopped working for several weeks.
After being admitted to the hospital the Dr’s were perplexed as to what do to restart her colon and exasperated every option without success to start it back up.
After 2 weeks of waiting in the hospital she was referred to a colorectal specialist and it was decided the best option was to put a ileostomy bag in. Basically they take her small intestine to the surface and attach to bag externally on her to bypass the colon completely.
The surgery was successful and her GI track is working again! During the surgery they also removed a softball sized cyst and one of her ovaries and discovered a pretty aggressive case of endrometriosis.
Moving forward the goal is to treat the endrometriosis and that her other ovary can be saved.
The goal with the ileostomy bag is that it is in 6 months and they either get the colon restarted or more likely they can re-route her small intestine and remove her colon and everything will function without the colon- without a bag. There are many components to make that happen which is what they have to test for over the next few months.
Whew- so after all that is going on with Ashley with her deductible, her 80/20 insurance and her inability to work at the level she had been they are a bit buried in medical bills. Many people have reached out to help and this is the most practical need at this point.
Ashley has told me on so many occasions how LOVED she has felt through all this and how many people have followed her story. She is the strongest person I know!!
