Help for Amelia (Emma) Johnson

Donation protected
Amelia (Emma) Johnson turned two in October & she has been a very healthy baby. Never any illness or complications until recently. Let's go back 4 months when this all started happening. She complained of headaches every so often. Which was concerning for us so we had her checked, Redington (skowhegan) said she had Allergies and upper respiratory infection (URI - basically the common cold in children.) So the allergy medicine wasn't working and her URI was completely gone but she still was not better. So fast forward a month and she was brought back. Redington Fairview said that she's just behavioral and doing it for attention and that she needs discipline. I did not agree so another couple weeks went by and we brought her to Waterville (Thayer division) they took blood work and X-rays, gave her fluids for being dehydrated. She was better for the night. The next day she didn't move , stopped walking, this (whole time she was puking and not keeping ANY fluids or food down for a 3.5 month period). So we saw her pediatrician 2 days later (December 7th 2017) and her pediatrician was very concerned- she did more blood work and blood cultures and we were to return to the lab the next day to do MORE labs, but by the next day she was STILL not moving (going on 4 days at this point). So her pediatrician said blood work from Waterville and her own requested labs came back fine so she said to go straight to the ER in skowhegan. From there she was admitted for several hours and nothing was getting better. So, they decided to hand us over to Bangor- 6pm we loaded the ambulance and rushed here. We were in very quickly, the doctors / staff were very quick and caring. By Saturday at 11am she was in an MRI where they found a "substantial mass in her brain" and it needed quick action. That was today, we are here at the pediatric ICU in Bangor @ Eastern Maine Medical Center. We are being shipped to Boston Children's hospital tomorrow (Sunday the 10th) or Monday the 11th. From there we are taking quick action to operate- and to exam the mass/tumor to see what kind of options we have. Whether it be just forever MRI's to make sure nothing returns or if we need to take further action to stop it from growing, coming back or spreading (cancer treatments, etc) We aren't asking for much we just need some extra help with living expenses- especially since it's the holiday season on top of not working until after this is all resolved. Even if it's just positive vibes or prayers or any sort of thoughtfulness we appreciate it all! Please wish our Emma girl the best lucky.

**update** Due to further information we are going to be here a lot longer than we thought. She might have multiple surgeries or may need a permanent drain. The tumor is wrapped around her important nerves and it's a very risky operation. She has the chances of paralysis and nervous system damage. She also has s long road to recovery such as learning to walk again and many other obstacles. We are so touched and I have cried tons of happy tears as much as the sad ones and we are so thankful for all these donations. But it is expensive here and we are going to be here much longer so we are going to raise the donation goal again. Thank you everyone happy holidays and merry Christmas!
