Help for a newly paralysed Mum

Sarah is a beautiful first time Mum to Edison (20 months) and recently suffered a very rare injury to her spinal cord causing her permanent damage.
Sarah was suffering back pain and it progressively got worse and very quickly. In the emergency room Sarah collapsed and became paralysed from the chest down. The cause of the injury is a Spinal arteriovenous malformation (AVM), which is a rare, abnormal tangle of blood vessels on, in or near the spinal cord.
The injury means that Sarah cannot feel her lungs, or when she is hungry, or even when she needs to use the toilet. She has no control of her core muscles and relies fully on the use of her arms. Sarah is permanently in a wheelchair and has undergone 5 months of intense rehabilitation to learn how to transfer herself in and out of bed, to take a shower and to dress and toilet herself. I must add that this is 5 months that she was away from her baby who is still under the age of 2.
Sadly this is a permanent injury and Sarah must go back home and adjust, in the best way possible, to have the most independence to remain a wonderful Mum to her son and wife to my brother Matt.
After visiting them recently it is evident that Sarah will need a car which is wheelchair accessible so she can take Edison to preschool and take herself to rehabilitation and medical appointments. Matt is continuing to work and NDIS is providing some care assistance but it is not enough! The family may also need to move house so it is easier for her to live as normal a life as possible plus there will be so many other costs this family will have to endure.
With this fund raising I am hoping to ease their burden by raising enough money to get her a wheelchair accessible car and an annual pass to her local Hydrotherapy Pool. Please open your heart for one of the most beautiful free spirited humans I have ever met.
