King Charles II is only 6 years old. He saved my life the day I got him. I have bipolar and had gone through several failed suicide attempts, I was in a really low place with a history of severe anxiety. I was unable to leave the house. He changed my life, the love and companionship he gave me made my bipolar episodes reduce from 9 months at a time to days. I was finally able to leave the house as long as he was by my side. His company could stop my panic attacks too.
He had some health problems as a pup, he was diagnosed with colitis. For years this has caused problems with gerd and vomiting, but the vets have not been listening to me with the teeth and ear problems I believe the acid reflux and gerd have caused. Now despite brushing his teeth every day of his life and using plaque off at only age 6 he has 3 loose teeth. This has caused non stop stomach problems that are not colitis and ear problems as well as eye problems. We have insurance but like most uk insurance companies dental care is not covered! This could have been avoided had we have been taken seriously sooner. He needs to go under for teeth cleaning extraction and will also need medicines and possible blood tests, kidney function tests etc, as long term dental issues can cause problems to the internal organs.
He is the love of my life and I can't be without him. But I simply do not have the funds for this. It will likely cost between £400 to £600- Depending. Unfortunately if this problem is not dealt with quickly it will also cause heart problems, as the plaque will move onto rot and grey black teeth and start poisoning his system slowly.
Any monies raised that are not needed I will donate to the dogs trust.
