It is with the heaviest of the heaviest hearts to update everyone... My husband/ soul mate/love of my life has Douglas Flowers been diagnosed with Stage 4 Lung cancer.. He will be getting a port put in April 9 2018 for chemo to start..
They average this type of cancer 8-10 months... But we are fighters, and we won't give up...We will keep keeping on, until he's my angel!
I need to get things in order, anything will help. I need to get insurance as soon as we get home... He wants to go see the ocean, Niagara falls, We gonna beat this!
On Tuesday April 3rd 2018 my husband was complaining that he couldn't breathe so we went to the hospital after X- rays we could see that the right lung was completely filled, with liquid. They had to rush him to another hospital to put a chest tube in to drain the liquid from his lung and they collected a liquid sample from it to test it, it was a two day wait to get the news, he was diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer on April 7th 2018. They are putting a port in his chest tomorrow for the Chemo, but when he comes home were going to go to the University of Michigan cancer center which is obviously going to be a massive amount of money and the insurance isn't going to cover it all.
We just need all the help we can possibly get,our small family of four is completely devastated right now. We need all the prayers and support we can get in this very difficult time.all the support we can get is more than we could ever hope for.
