How can I help? That is the question we all have been asking knowing the rippling devastation that Hurricane Maria's impact has made on the lives of Florin, Ricky, Obi and Casa Flamboyant (their home and business), and throughout the entire Puerto Rican community.
This outreach is our personal, grass roots way to connect and ensure that Florin, Ricky and Obi get the much needed assistance that they need from us directly. Florin and Ricky truly appreciate your love, caring and generosity to help. No donation is too small to help them try to repair their home and lives. Electricity has been out for weeks from Irma and is predicted to be out for many months more. Communications are challenging at best. Clean water is a necessity. Mail is unreliable and not restored. The road to Casa Flamboyant is not safely accessible and a small path has been cleared by local residents working together. Once the basic humanitarian and communication needs are addressed then vying for materials and labor to fix and restore becomes Florin and Ricky's next challenge. Aid from FEMA and Red Cross is elusive to their remote location. Florin and Ricky need us - now and for the long recovery road ahead. Thank you for your prayers and love.
