Heavy Flood in eastern Nepal - Jhapa, Morang, Sunsari, and Saptari.

If we can feel the pain by just watching reading the news, we can imagine what would be going through the flood victims. With almost 2/3 rd of Madhesh region covered by the torrential rain, Nepal has seen its worst flood for over 2 decades. Government reports confirms over 30 deaths and scores missing. Apart from the human lives, hundreds of cattle have been flown by the flood. And as the rain is continuing, worse is expected.
Over 10,000 houses have been affected and as many as 100,000 people including children have been forced to take temporary shelter in the perceived safer area which in fact isn't safer. They are spending their days and nights under open roofs and have nothing to eat either. The victims aren't able to close their eyes at all because the water level can rise any minute. There is a severe risk of water contamination and water borne diseases.
They immediately need Tarpaulins, Mats, mosquito nets, food, drinking water and emergency medicines to prevent the transmission of diseases. We won't be able to take away their pains but our effort will certainly help them to stay calm and hopeful. Our small contribution will bring a big impact on their lives because they are not just having physical stress but all their mental peace is also gone.
Lets not just sympathize but also empathize. Lets show them that they aren't alone. There is a difference between human being and being human. Lets be the human that we desire to be.
