<div>My name is Salim. I am a British Palestinian. I have lived, with my wife and 3 kids, and worked in the NHS for over 20 years now.

<div>I am raising funds on behalf of my family (32 members of immediate family - my father, mother, brothers and sisters,
</div>
<div>my nieces and nephews). They are trapped in Gaza, living in tents with the bare minimum of access to water, food or the minimum basic needs. I feel ashamed that I am living a privileged life here in the UK, while my family are at risk of dying at any second, if not from bombs, it will be from starvation, dehydration or disease.
</div>
<div>Unfortunately they are trapped in Gaza as they don’t have British citizenship like me. They are not permitted to pass through the Rafah border crossing into Egypt.
</div>

<div>Shamefully, the UK has not granted any assistance to British citizens in my position to evacuate their families as is similar in other war zones, so they are trapped refugees.
</div>

<div>I have pleaded with our MP to assist evacuating them, but all has fallen on deaf ears.
</div>
<div>Embarrassingly, the only glimmer of hope is to plea with you to fund them so that the money is used to pay a travel agency located in Egypt to assist them crossing into and resettling in Egypt, into safety. I would have never envisaged myself crowd funding for such a solution, but I wouldn't forgive myself for not doing everything and anything possible or imaginable to save their lives and get them into safety.

<div>I have some good news.
</div>
<div>I just wanted to say thank you to each one of you. With the help of your generous donations so far - my parents , one of my sisters , and one of my nephews have managed to travel out of Gaza and cross safely into Egypt. Photo of my parents and sister waiting at the Rafah rossing attached.

<div>It is a bittersweet feeling for me and them as I still have 28 immediate family members ( 5 brothers and one sister with my nephews and nieces) Caged in Gaza with scarce access to food and water and ongoing threat of being killed.
</div>
<div>The cover and attached photos of the infant are of my 2 year old niece, her father is having to forage for edible grass and weed to feed them.
</div>
<div>I am not giving up on any of them , and still hope you would continue to donate and share my fundraiser to raise enough money to fund their evacuation. I am also doing my best to send them money to buy food and water to stay alive.
