<div><em>"I could just ‘walk’ alongside my best friend and fully immerse myself in the experience. Perhaps this might sound like just a small thing, but it’s something we never imagined we’d be able to do."</em>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><strong>For some people, a countryside walk is simple. For others, it's always just out of reach.</strong>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>At Hoe Grange, we're passionate about changing that.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>We’re David, Felicity and Caroline - the family behind multi award-winning Hoe Grange Holidays in the Peak District. For nearly 20 years, we’ve worked to make our beautiful corner of the countryside more accessible for more people.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>That means not just ramps and wetrooms, but freedom to explore beyond the car park.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>One of the ways we’ve done that is by offering a Boma7 off-road wheelchair – a powerful, all-terrain chair that helps wheelchair users and people with limited mobility access the same stunning trails as everyone else.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><strong>It’s not just a bit of kit. It’s a key to independence, adventure and joy.</strong>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Guests have taken it up into the hills, along old railway trails, and even on hacks with horses. It’s been a game-changer - not just for Peak District visitors, but for local families who’ve never had access to the outdoors together before.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>But now, the Boma7 is becoming temperamental. The electrical system is no longer reliable. After several rescue missions, we now face having to take it out of service - and that means turning guests away.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>We’ve had quotes to fix it, but it’s not a simple job. A full repair will cost nearly £10,000. As a small family business, we can only afford around half that amount. But we’re not eligible for any grants for repairs, and we’re trying to fix existing equipment, not buy a new one at three times the cost.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>We’ve always kept the Boma hire fee low - just enough to cover insurance and basic upkeep - and subsidised the overall costs, because we believe access shouldn’t depend on income. That won't change.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>But that means that now we need your help.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>With your support, we can get the Boma back in action and keep offering the vital countryside access that’s unfortunately still the exception, not the norm.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>If we’re lucky enough to raise more than we need, every extra penny will go directly towards even more accessibility improvements.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Here’s what the Boma means to our guests:
</div>
<div><em>“There’s just no feeling quite like the freedom of being independent in such a rugged environment that’s usually off-limits.”</em>
</div>
<div><em>“It was a delight to see my sister bombing off under her own steam along the High Peak Trail while we jogged along trying to keep up!"</em>
</div>
<div><em>"An amazing experience - life-changing!"</em>
</div>
<div><em>“The off-road wheelchair was a complete gamechanger for me and meant we could access the routes together."</em>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>If you’re able to donate, thank you, truly. And if you can’t give right now, a share on your socials would mean the world.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Together, we can keep the Boma rolling and make sure no one gets left behind.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>With heartfelt thanks,
</div>
