Help Bolo Get Surgery

Donation protected
Hi! My name is Bolo!

I am estimated to be 4 years old, and was rescued in 2016 from a scary place where people were mean to me. Most people who meet me now don't realize what a rough start to life I had, because I am still so loving and trusting. When I was first picked up I was so weak and tired that I couldn't even stand up. After going for my first visit to the vet, they found out by my X-rays that I had an old fracture to my leg, a skull fracture, and I had several BB bullets under my skin from where people had shot me. I was so covered in fleas and ticks that my bath water turned red from all my blood and they said I was anemic. It took a little while, but with the love and care of Megan and Krystal (My new moms), I felt like a whole new dog!

I have spent the last 2 years living a happy, pampered life full of walks, treats, and comfy couch naps. But last week when I was running around I felt something strange happen to my knee. All of a sudden it was too painful to put my leg down. But I didn't let that stop me. I still hobbled around the best I could. Over the last couple of days it started hurting more and more, and I started slowing down. I get medicine treats twice a day that make some of the pain go away, but I still can't walk very well.

Today I got to go to a new doctor, and there were lots of new faces that were happy to see me and gave me all the attention I asked for. They did some tests on me and told my mom that I have a Cranial Cruciate Ligament tear, and that I'll need surgery to make the pain go away. Dr. Herman says that If I get the TPLO surgery I will likely regain complete use of my leg again, and I'll be able to run around and play just like I use to! He says that I am an excellent surgical candidate because I am so small, at a good body weight, and am pretty lazy at home.

The nurse said my surgery could cost as much as $3,708! My surgery estimate includes the TPLO procedure fee, the plate that has to be put into my leg, IV pain medication and antibiotics, a bunch of sets of x-rays, and an overnight stay in the ICU with a nurse dedicated to watching me and making sure I'm okay. I know my mom's are struggling with coming up with such a large amount of money, but they are trying everything they can to make me better.

Friends and Family, Please consider donating towards the cost of Bolo's surgery. She touches the hearts of everyone that she meets, and she deserves to live out the rest of her life happy and pain free. Any amount you can give is beyond appreciated. Thank you so much.
