<div>Our son, Finn, is a bright and kind-hearted 21-year-old who was preparing to start his junior year at Berklee College of Music—his dream school—when everything suddenly changed. What began as a routine physical turned into a whirlwind of tests and referrals. Within days, we learned that Finn has acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL), and he was admitted for treatment at Dana-Farber in Boston.

<div>He’s now facing an intense, inpatient treatment journey expected to last 9–12 months. Finn has taken a leave of absence from school, and both his mom and I have left our jobs to care for him full-time. We live about 75–80 minutes from the hospital, so travel, meals, housing, and parking have quickly become daily challenges. Like so many families in this situation, we’re also facing big unknowns around medical costs and insurance coverage.

<div>Through it all, Finn has stayed remarkably hopeful. He’s determined to get to remission so he can return to Berklee and keep working toward his dream of becoming a music teacher. His love of music, calm presence, and quiet insight bring peace to everyone around him. As his godfather says, “He has a certain quiet genius to him.”
