Help Find Sydney West

In the early morning of Sept. 30, 2020, 19-year-old Sydney West disappeared in San Francisco, CA near the Golden Gate Bridge. Since then, Sydney’s family and their private investigator have followed up on hundreds of leads, but none have yielded answers or—most importantly—brought Sydney home.

Recently, Sydney’s story was featured on the Investigation Discovery program, “Disappeared” (season 11, episode 1, air date 8/27/23), bringing her story to even more people and generating new interest, new leads, and bringing new hope that someone will come forward with information that will lead us to Sydney.

Thanks to this renewed interest, the family has been given the opportunity to work with the organization We Are The Essentials , a group of former law enforcement officers and military service members who now serve as search and recovery investigators and consultants, using their skills to investigate missing people and help bring much needed closure to families.

As friends and supporters of the West family, we have set up this GoFundMe to raise funds to cover the travel and investigation costs of The Essentials team in the hope that we can get Sydney’s family the answers they need and deserve.

Since Sydney’s disappearance there has been an incredible outpouring of support—much of it from people who we have never met but who have been touched by this story. We thank everyone who has sent messages of love and caring during this incredibly difficult time, and we thank you in advance for your continued support through this GoFundMe. Together we WILL bring Sydney home.
