Maya "May" Millete is a 39 year old mother of 3 young children (ages 4, 9, and recently 11) who has been missing since 7 January 2021. Maya is a dedicated mother, wife, daughter, sister, friend, and civil servant and we are doing everything we can to find her and bring her home to her family.
Background
Maya was discovered missing from her home in Chula Vista, California on Saturday morning, 9 January 2021. Last known communication with Maya was on Thursday, 7 January 2021 at 7:52pm via group chat message. Both of her cars have been at her home since she's been missing and her phone is turned off and has not been located. A missing persons police report has been filed with the Chula Vista Police Department (CVPD) and her case is currently open and is being investigated. Maya's family and close friends have created a Facebook Page, "Find Maya/May Millete", to spread awareness in hopes of finding her. Multiple search events have been conducted by friends, family, and the community as well as the distribution of fliers and posters.

The story of Maya's missing has reached so many people via the news and media outlets and is no longer just a story. Hearing and listening to the stories shared by family and friends has allowed people to share in on how great of a person Maya truly is. Maya is miniature but fierce with a bold personality and full of life, but also has a pure and caring heart. She is a lover of all things outdoors from hiking to paddle boarding, but can also sooth your heart with the stroke of her fingers against the guitar strings while singing sweet melodies.
Maya started her civil servant career in 2011 at NAVSEA, Southwest Regional Maintenance Command (SWRMC). May has dedicated over 10 years of service as a civil servant in the Acquisition career field, where she ensured the nations freedom through the timely availability of our nations fleet. She then further excelled in becoming a Division Director where she mentored, influenced, and lead 25+ civil servants all while maintaining her personal life. In June 2020 Maya left NAVSEA to pursue larger acquisitions and joined NAVWAR, at the Naval Information Warfare Center Pacific (NIWC) command, where she is currently working.
