<div>My sister Arlani was considered a high-risk patient throughout her pregnancy, closely monitored by her doctors. On December 30, 2025, her high-risk doctor advised her to go to the hospital for delivery. She was admitted and began the induction process, with medication to help start labor. By the next morning, she had progressed to 3 centimeters, and her OB doctor broke her amniotic fluid to help things along. The family waited anxiously for progress, but as the day went on, My sister Arlani began to show signs of infection—chills, fever, and high blood pressure. The medical team quickly decided to perform an emergency c-section that evening. At 8:33pm, her baby girl was delivered.She appeared healthy, and her father was able to feed her first milk. But just a few hours later, things took a devastating turn. Around midnight, the baby stopped wanting to eat, and her father asked the nurse for help. Despite their efforts, the baby’s condition worsened. By 4am, a nurse found her cold and grayish, and rushed her to the nursery for emergency care. The team worked to stabilize her, but by 6:20am, the doctor delivered the heartbreaking news that she had passed away. The loss has left My sister and my brother-in-law searching for answers and struggling with unimaginable grief. They are now facing the costs of an autopsy and burial, hoping to understand what happened to their precious daughter and to give her the farewell she deserves.
