Help fight Roger's battle w cancer

Many of you may know our dear friend Roger Alexis. Roger is a lifelong resident of Niagara Falls and works in the medical field at Seton Imaging as an MRI/Xray  technologist. Throughout his life and career, he has touched so many lives with his kindhearted and caring nature. To know Roger, is to love Roger :) Last week, Roger sustained a serious injury after his tibia/fibula spontaneously fractured. Upon entering for treatment at ECMC, Roger was diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma which is a form of blood cancer that develops in  the bone marrow.  In patients with Multiple Myeloma, healthy plasma cells transform into malignant myeloma cells and ultimately cause symptoms such as bone damage which is why Roger's leg fractured without warning.  Thankfully, Multiple myeloma is a treatable cancer and prognosis has greatly improved due to myeloma research, however, Roger has a long road of surgeries, transplants, rehabilitation and radiation/chemotherapy ahead of him. Because of this he will be unable to work for the foreseeable future and this will cause a serious financial burden on Roger and his family. Those who know Roger also know that nothing means more to Roger than his family. His wife Shannon, son Nick and daughter Alina are his world. Throughout all of this, Roger has done nothing but unselfishly worry about supporting his family throughout this journey that lies ahead. Our hope is that we can garner and provide financial support to help Roger and his family during this very difficult time so that they can focus on what is most important, Roger's recovery, not to have to focus on financial worries. Please help us if you can, it would mean so much to Roger and his family and to all of us!
