Thank you all for your loving support and prayers during my dad’s sickness. Many of you know my father as a loving, hard working, charismatic independent individual. My father has been battling Stage 4 Bladder Cancer since the beginning of this year. The cancer has now spread to his liver and the doctors have now placed him in hospice. My family and I are in desperate need of financial assistance in order to ensure that my dad receives proper medical attention while he transitions.
My father worked endlessly to provide for so many. Devoted co-worker, employee and friend always willing to serve his community and provide advice, mentorship to young men, women and children. After working tirelessly (15 years as of February 2018) his employer terminated him after a few months after he became ill. During this time he was not granted insurance or any assistance from the organization; which shorten the window for him to receive the care he needed to fight this deadly disease.
Despite all that my dad has been through over these last couple of months he has kept a fighting spirit. His love for others has kept him motivated to not give up. From the endless prayers, calls, text messages and visits kept him encouraged and fighting. His fight and determination has started to decrease with the news he received within the last three weeks. My dad was informed that there is nothing more that the doctors can do. We have seen my dad spirit and health decline.
We are asking for financial assistance as he has now been placed at in home hospice. Home hospice care is only sending a nurse out once a week to check on him leaving all other coverage to my siblings and I. We would like to have nurse assistance to help us properly care for our dad for he deserves that and more.
As we prepare for this transition we are asking for financial assistance to assist with providing nurse aid and any other medical expenses. Please continue to pray for my dad and my family as we prepare our hearts and minds for whatever God’s final decision is.
