Help Fern Ghattas after the explosion_goal reached

Donation protected
Severely damaged in the August 4th blast, Fern Ghattas, Gemmayze’s finest traditional Lebanese bakery, needs our help to rebuild.

Founded in 1920, Ghattas has witnessed Lebanon’s independence, the civil war, all seven of Sabah’s marriages and the fall of the Berlin Wall. As Gemmayze has changed over the past few decades, Ghattas has been a constant, keeping everyone from tourists to tantes fed with freshly made manouche and moajanat. In many ways, the small, friendly family owned bakery epitomizes the small businesses that make the neighborhood great.

Thankfully, the timing of the blast meant that Ghattas was closed when disaster struck. Nonetheless, it’ll take a bit of work—and money—to get them back on their feet. Please consider donating to help this iconic institution; all money will go directly to help the Ghattas family rebuild.
