Help Feed the Homeless in Humboldt

Dear Friends:

Thanks to your remarkable efforts (see below for details) and sharing through emails and Facebook, we have sufficient funds to maintain our current manner of giving through the end of January 2017.

If you are able, please consider spreading the word again and contributing to our new campaign to further this effort well into 2017. 

Since September, your generous support has helped expand our weekly effort to:
> 140 sandwiches of ham, turkey, bologna (all with cheese), peanut butter and jam
> 30# of bananas
> 20# of dog food (people were giving their sandwiches to their dogs)
> coffee, cocoa, and jugs of water

We have also gathered and distributed:
> 6 large boxes of assorted clothes and jackets
> 160 pairs of socks and
> 40 blankets

It is only a small drop in a very big bucket, but the rewards proliferate through very grateful recipients. I can tell you, I've never felt less burdened than when I repeat "you're welcome" 100 times/weekend.

We hope you feel your donations to date have been well used and we will continue our work as funds allow.
