We are putting together a match campaign to raise funds for food at the Mexicali shelter, most are children!

The shelter has lost support from the government and their longtime funder. The primary need is food for the residents. The shelter is in desperate need of monthly support for food, now! They are currently supporting over 200 families that are stuck in Mexicali due to the pandemic.

As we know, COVID-19 is hitting us all hard and has cut funding from all sectors. During these unstable times across the globe, we are asking you to support these families with the basic necessity of a FOOD.

This shelter offers free housing and meals to families fleeing persecution in their home countries, seeking refuge in the United States.

While they await the process of legally entering the United States, families are forced to remain in Mexico without the ability to work and support themselves.

The shelter and kitchen currently provides 400 meals a day for the families and children they are supporting.

We are teaming up with various organizations across Southern California to offer some relief to Altagracia, the volunteer cook and the director of the migrant shelter, and to help the migrant families and children she supports.

We are raising funds in order to support the shelter with a $1,000 a month for food. We currently have funds to match the first couple thousand dollars to reach our goal of $7,000!
