Between 2003 and 2006, Fernando, Pablo, and I lived in Newcastle, KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa. During that time, we met many wonderful people and fell in love with the country.

Many people in KwaZulu-Natal province are struggling, looking for work, and putting food on the table. My friend Owen Magadlela has been working tirelessly with the Asibambimpilo Community Care Centre in Dannhauser, KwaZulu-Natal, a rural community near Newcastle. The Asibambimpilo Community Care Centre has seen a huge surge in need for food parcels and increased demand for their before and after school nutritious meal program.
