Help Fatemeh Become a Licensed Pharmacist

Donation protected
Hi!
My name is Fatemeh,

I come from Iran and had to leave my beloved country forever in January 2023.  I left my beloved family and friends behind because I was tired of living in constant fear of being kidnapped, killed, or having acid
thrown on my face by extremist Islamists just because I wanted to sing in public and expressed my opinions honestly as a woman. The constant gender and religious discrimination and misogynist culture affected every moment of my life, as I earned honors in all grades of school and finally achieved my Doctorate Degree in Pharmacy from the Tehran University of Medical Sciences.  I became exhausted by the instability and fear, and I knew I owed myself a normal life where my skills, education and hard work could truly make a difference.
One of my new friends here in the United States asked me what do I find most different here. I replied: “ A normal, safe life”.
I am the first in my family to breathe the air of this beautiful country, and since I arrived, I have been trying to build everything by myself. While I have a PhD in Pharmacy, Massachusetts regulations require I earn an American degree now to earn a living as a licensed pharmacist here.  I am thrilled to have received admission to the accelerated program at the Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences starting in September 2024, to become a licensed pharmacist in the USA.

Since arriving, I’ve worked tirelessly to make ends meet, earning only minimum wages to survive. I used my small amount of savings to pay my lawyer to document and file my request for asylum.  I tried to get educational loans, but it’s impossible for those in my circumstances to access the same loans that American students get. Now, I need your help to rejoin my profession as a licensed pharmacist. Despite receiving a generous scholarship, I still need support to cover my university expenses.

Your generous contributions will help to relieve my financial stress, allowing me to focus on my studies
and work hard to earn the required American degree.  This focus will also help me secure more
scholarships in the future. Your support means the world to me as I strive to make the most of the
opportunities this country offers and achieve my dream of becoming a licensed pharmacist.

Thank you from the bottom of my heart!
