Fared is an independent conflict photojournalist whose work has brought global attention to the realities of revolution, war, and the aftermath of natural disasters. Fared’s powerful images and stories have appeared in The Telegraph, New Lines Magazine, Business Insider, and The National, helping the world see events that might otherwise go unnoticed. Recently, Fared faced a medical emergency: a longstanding eye condition worsened rapidly, requiring urgent surgery to save his eyesight. Thankfully, the operation was successful, but he now needs months of rest for his eyes to fully recover and prevent blindness.

 This fundraiser began as a way to help Fared afford essential equipment for his work, but it has become a lifeline for him and his family. The funds will cover significant medical bills, living expenses during his recovery, and eventually help him purchase the equipment needed to return to his vital work as a photojournalist. Fared and his family need support more than ever until his health improves enough for him to work independently again.
