Help Farah Rebuild Her Future: Support Her Education Abroad

A Story of Resilience, Hope, and a Dream of a Bright Future in Interior Design

Dear Friends,

My name is Selina, and I am reaching out to you with a heartfelt plea to support an incredibly brave and determined young woman named Farah. Farah is an 18-year-old from north Gaza who, like many of us, once dreamt of completing her education and building a bright future. However, the harsh realities of the occupation, siege and recurring attacks have most recently turned her life upside down.

Meet Farah and Her Family

Farah comes from a loving family of nine. Despite the immense challenges they face daily, they have been so fortunate to remain alive and united. Farah’s family consists of her parents, her four siblings, her sister-in-law, and her infant nephew who was born during this most recent lasting attack. They have endured unimaginable hardships, such as losing their home, relocating many many times, to relatives homes and tents in Rafah and back to other areas again. Yet they remain resilient.

A Personal Connection

My journey with Farah’s family began when I started raising funds for Kareem, Farah’s young brother, who at only 14-years of age has been working tirelessly to raise funds to support their daily needs and shelter. I have been able to send these funds through PayPal and have received numerous confirmations such as fotos and videos that the funds have arrived. I have also received fotos and videos showing me what the family uses the funds for. They do not owe me any accountability for how they use these funds. They have been surviving an occupation successfully all their lives and they know how to do do this. I do however receive many questions on how I can be sure that the funds arrive and want to make it clear that I have no doubt that the funds arrive and are used in the wisest manner. I am in contact ever single day if the connection in Gaza allows it.

Seeing the impact of financial contributions that we can come up with collectively, I am now also committed to helping Farah finish her education and achieve her dream of becoming an Interior Designer. We share the same dream profession and I would love and hope for the Interior Design community to show their solidarity and humanity by supporting Farah in achieving this dream

Farah's Dream: Education and an Interior Design Future Abroad

Farah was a dedicated high school student with aspirations of continuing her education, her dream was to become an Interior Designer. The ongoing conflict has not only disrupted her schooling but has also shattered her dream of a stable future. Despite these setbacks, Farah remains hopeful and determined to finish her education abroad when the borders open again. She believes that education is her key to rebuilding her future and making a difference in her community. Having lost her home more than once, she knows the importance of having a home one feels safe and comfortable in and how interior Design can have such an impact on this.

Why We Need Your Help

Farah’s dream of studying abroad to become an Interior Designer is not just about her; it represents hope for her entire family. By supporting Farah, you are giving her the opportunity to:

Survive This Horror: Farah and her Family need to survive this to have a chance at a future. They have the same basic needs every human has and need to obtain food and shelter. This is extremely expensive as rarely any aid is being allowed into Gaza. Until Farah can leave Gaza all funds are intended for her and her families survival.

Complete Her High School Education: As options for High School Students become available, be it virtually or IRL, she should have all the means to participate and finish her High School Education.

Build a Brighter Future: Farah wants a chance at a future, for herself and her family. She hopes to complete an education abroad for Interior Design and gain the skills and knowledge necessary to contribute to her community and support her family with work in this field. Knowing she has a community backing her to achieve this dream gives her hope and this is fundamental to survive and one day heal from the trauma she is living through.
