Help family have shelter this Christmas and beyond

We participated in two "adopt a family" initiatives at Serra Highschool which our son is attending. One of the families was a single dad with his 3 teenage sons. They recently became homeless. Having two teenage boys ourselves that story touched us deeply – we could not stop thinking about them. Trying to figure out how we could help on a more substantial basis, we managed to learn more about the family and eventually got directly in touch with Ruben, the dad of the 3 boys. 

 Ruben has been a single dad for 10 years now and raised his boys, now 16, 15 and 11 years old, all by himself. Due to the pandemic, he lost both his job and his apartment. The family now lives in an old RV on El Camino Real close to Stanford. Ruben has been a hard-working dad and takes good care of his kids. He cooks daily meals in the RV and made sure the kids continued with their virtual classes, so they don't miss school.

The families biggest challenge right now is maintaining their RV, which is also their home. The RV is 20 years old and broke down last week. The transmission needs to be replaced and the repairs are very expensive.   

 Our family has decided to help Ruben and his three boys. If you can, please join us ensuring they have a place to stay!
