Help Ezra!

Donation protected
Houston artist Ezra Roy, 29, had been busy preparing for an art exhibition at The Jazz Gallery, which he would have opened with his father and creative partner, Alvin Roy, 60 in January 2018.

Alvin Roy is proud of his son: Ezra will be one of the first U.S. artists with Down syndrome to exhibit his work on the national level. "I don't think there are very many people out here who would ever consider that ...a possibility," Alvin said. We were all very excited to welcome Ezra and Alvin to The Jazz Galley!!

Then hurricane Harvey hit.

Not only all the artworks Ezra has been preparing for the exhibit are gone. Their car is totaled. All the art supplies are destroyed. They are fighting mold and mildrew in their home and studio. His business is suspended until the space is safe to operate.  Alvin said the FEMA has not been very effective and he is at a loss as to how to recover from all the damages.

With everything that has happened in a past few months in Houston, Florida, Mexico, and Puerto Rico, we are all stretched very thin in our effort to help but we know that arts community is kinda and generous and we'll somehow lift each other up.

Please consider helping Ezra and Alvin. No amount is too small!
