Help expand The Light Christian School - Ofsted Registered

We are The Light Christian School - a brand new, established, independent, Christ-centred school located in Grays, Essex. We need your help to expand our vision!

Our two current fundraising objectives are:

- £3.5 million for our new buildings

- sponsorships for teachers’ salaries (£10,000 per month)

We work tirelessly to equip the future generation with Godly character, academic excellence and leadership skills so they can thrive. But we can’t do it alone. As a registered charity and independent school, we do not receive government funding and thus, we are self funded.

Our Co-founder and executive principal’s commitment to this mission means that he does not take a salary. All donations go directly to the running of the school, including our curriculum and staffing costs.

Who are we?

We are a newly Ofsted registered Christ-centred independent primary school in Thurrock who have received a glowing report following our pre-inspection. Ofsted recognised our commitment to high-quality education, a nurturing environment, and strong leadership.

The Light Christian School was commended by Ofsted inspectors for its knowledgeable leadership team, ambitious curriculum, and focus on effective teaching. Our report highlights the school’s “aims to inspire a love for learning” and how “pupils will play an active role in presenting and discussing their work and understanding.”

At The Light Christian School, we are committed to raising future leaders grounded in faith, love, and academic excellence. We will be equipping our students spiritually, academically, physically, and mentally to be true representatives of Jesus Christ. The same Spirit that was on Jesus Christ will be seen within our students, who will then grow to infiltrate spaces and places for the Kingdom of God. We want our children to be loud and bold about their faith and to become positive role models to their generation.

Why should you help?

Our vision is to offer a Christ-centred and academically rigorous education to children aged 3-16 across the country. Your donations allow us to expand our offer to more children and more locations across the country. This includes buying new buildings and developing other leaders in Christ-centred education.

How can businesses help?

Businesses can make tax deductible donations. These donations can be monthly, quarterly, or annually and will come off your tax bill to HMRC. The money that would be paid in tax instead goes to our charity and cause.

How can individuals help?

Your one time or repeat donations are invaluable. Through them, we can offer the type of education we wish we had received.
