Hello, my name is Mersad, and I am reaching out with a heavy heart to ask for help for my wife, Evelina. 
 
A short time ago, our world was turned upside down when doctors found a 30cm mass inside my wife’s abdomen. Hearing those words felt like the ground disappeared beneath my feet. Everything happened so fast—tests, fear, and then the urgent decision that she needed major surgery right away. 
 
Evelina is the strongest person I know. She went into surgery terrified but brave, and I sat there praying, hour after hour, hoping she would come out safe. Thankfully, the surgeons were able to remove the mass. But what came after has been overwhelming. 
 
Evelina now faces an 8-week recovery, unable to work, in pain, and trying to heal. And because she has no medical insurance, the hospital bills of $130k, follow-up care, and medication costs have hit us harder than we ever imagined. I’m doing everything I can, but watching her worry about money while she’s trying to recover breaks my heart. 
 
I just want her to heal without fear. 

I want her to rest without wondering how we’re going to pay for the next appointment. 

I want to take this burden off her shoulders.

Pozdrav, moje ime je Mersad i obraćam vam se teškog srca, tražeći pomoć za svoju suprugu Evelinu. 
 
Nedavno nam se život okrenuo naopako kada su doktori pronašli tumorsku masu od 30 cm u Evelininom stomaku. Čuti te riječi bilo je kao da mi je neko izmakao tlo pod nogama. Sve se desilo toliko brzo—pregledi, strah, i onda hitna odluka da mora odmah na veliku operaciju. 
 
Evelina je najjača osoba koju poznajem. Ušla je u operacijsku salu uplašena, ali hrabra, a ja sam satima sjedio i molio se da izađe živa i dobro. Hvala Bogu, doktori su uspjeli ukloniti masu. Ali ono što je uslijedilo bilo je izuzetno teško. 
 
Evelinu sada čeka 8 sedmica oporavka, bez mogućnosti rada, u bolovima i sa dugim putem do potpunog ozdravljenja. A pošto nema zdravstveno osiguranje, bolnički troškovi od $130 hiljada, kontrole i lijekovi pali su na nas kao ogroman teret. Dajem sve od sebe, ali gledati je kako se brine o novcu dok pokušava da se oporavi slama mi srce. 
 
Samo želim da ozdravi bez straha. 

Da se odmara bez brige kako ćemo platiti sljedeću kontrolu. 

Da joj skinem teret sa ramena.
