Evan was my son's best friend, a bright and caring 17-year-old whose life was tragically cut short on July 12th, 2026. His sudden passing has left his family devastated, struggling not only with the overwhelming grief but also with the financial strain of a previous tragedy. Right now, Evan is still at the medical examiner's office, and his family is unable to bring him home until they can cover the costs for funeral arrangements. The pain of not being able to lay their child to rest is unimaginable, and it’s a burden no family should ever have to bear.

 Evan was known for his love of music and his deep compassion for others. When a friend's parent was going through cancer treatment, Evan shaved his head in solidarity, showing just how much he cared for those around him. His kindness touched so many lives, and his absence is felt deeply by everyone who knew him. Evan’s family is breaking under the weight of this unnatural event, their sense of right in the world torn apart. They are facing a situation that no parent should ever have to endure—fearing they won’t be able to bring their child home after such a traumatic loss.
