The ongoing genocide in Gaza and the imminent land operation in Rafah where we're currently sheltering has rendered life one endless episode of anxiety and fear. Dreaming of going back home in the north has made it possible to push through the chaos of daily life where bombardment and the changing of shelters are constants. We have changed five roofs in five months, but we persevered and endured because war's eventually going to end and we're going back home. Wrong. The months wore on with no foreseeable end in sight and home's apparently been wiped out along with the entirety of our neighborhood. We found out we have no home a couple of weeks ago and life's been pretty hopeless ever since.

<div>Meet my family:
</div>
<div>We're 8 in total. There's my mom and dad and 6 of us. We're Five daughters and a son. I'm the eldest followed by my sister, Aseel. Aseel has been one of the main motivations behind creating this fundme campaign. My sister suffers from constant panic attacks and is unable to cope with the fear during Israeli air raids. She gets incredibly pale and waxy, trembles, and looks about to expire from the terror. If anyone must get out to Egypt, then it's her.

<div>Then there's my brother Atef who graduated a month before the war. With a 50% unemployment rate before the war, the carpet bombing of all facilities of life and infrastructure in Gaza makes the possibility of finding a job nary unattainable.

<div>My sister Dema is currently in Turkey on a scholarship. She's currently in her second year of dentistry school, and us being seperated and sometimes going days with no contact has made her months utter hell. She's no longer studying as much as worrying, fretting and panicking, eyes constantly glued to news channels.

<div>My sisters Dana and Ola are the youngest. Dana's a medical and student in her second year and two academic semesters have already been lost to her. In light of Israel completely wiping out all Gazan universities including my sister's, continuing her studies anytime before the year is over is implausible. She has a chance however at continuing her med degree in Egypt since that's a an opportunity offered by Egyption universities to Gazan students who do make it to Egypt. Ola (Lolo) is the youngest. She's in a tenth grade and like Dana has also lost the school year to war. Lolo was born in 2009 during the first aggression waged by Israel on Gaza. The entirety of her life since then has been a series of aggressions and bombings. The 2009 aggression, the 2011, the 2014, the 2021 and now the 2023 genocide. It's all my sister's ever known and that's crushing.

<div>Why ask for $38k?
</div>
<div>That's the current price of saving our lives. Egyption officials are extorting Palestinians fleeing their lives across the borders with a fixed amount of $5k per person. This has made it possible for only Gazans of a certain socio-economic background to save their lives or to sell all they possibly own to make it out. while the rest of us either wait to die, be maimed for life, imprisoned, starved or diseased. All viable options that happened, continue to happen and don't seem to be stopping anytime soon.

<div>So, 7 * $5000 = $35000 + $2-3k (bank transfer and currency exchange fees) + $4k (rent in Egypt for months, food, medications) = $42k (€38k)

<div>أسمي أُنس. و انا بصدد الطلب منكم مساعدتي انا و عائلتي في السفر من غزة. إن الإبادة الجماعية المستمرة في غزة والعملية البرية الوشيكة في رفح، حيث نأوي حاليًا، جعلت الحياة حلقة لا نهاية لها من القلق والخوف. الحلم بالعودة إلى البيت في الشمال جعل من الممكن تجاوز معاناة الحياة اليومية حيث أصبح القصف وتغيير البيوت و الملاجئ أمر روتيني. لقد قمنا بتغيير خمسة بيوت في خمسة أشهر، لكننا ثابرنا وتحملنا لأن الحرب ستنتهي في نهاية المطاف وسنعود إلى ديارنا. خطأ. مرت الأشهر دون أن تلوح في الأفق أي نهاية متوقعة ويبدو أن المنزل قد تم محوه هو و الحي برمته. لقد اكتشفنا أنه لم يعد لدينا منزل منذ بضعة أسابيع، وأصبحت الحياة ميؤوس منها منذ ذلك الحين.

<div>نحن 8 في المجموع. هناك أمي وأبي و 6 منا. نحن خمس بنات وابن. أنا الكبرى ويليها أختي أسيل. لقد كان أسيل أحد الدوافع الرئيسية وراء إنشاء هذا الرابط. تعاني أختي من نوبات هلع مستمرة ولا تستطيع التغلب على خوفها أثناء الغارات الجوية الإسرائيلية. تصبح شاحبة اللون بشكل لا يصدق، وترتعش، وتبدو على وشك الموت من الرعب. إذا كان على أحد أن يخرج إلى مصر فهي اختي أسيل

<div>ثم هناك أخي عاطف الذي تخرج قبل الحرب بشهر. ومع وصول معدل البطالة إلى 50% قبل الحرب، فإن القصف الشامل لجميع مرافق الحياة والبنية التحتية في غزة يجعل إمكانية العثور على عمل أمراً بعيد المنال.

<div>أختي ديما متواجدة حاليًا في تركيا بمنحة دراسية. إنها حاليًا في سنتها الثانية في كلية طب الأسنان، وقد أدت صعوبة الاتصالات و الانترنت الى مرور أيام دون أي اتصال بيننا و الذي جعل أيامها عبارة عن كابوس قلق. لم تعد تدرس بقدر ما تقلق وتتوتر وتذعر، وعيونها ملتصقة باستمرار بقنوات الأخبار.
