<div><strong>I am</strong> <strong>Khaled Abu Ishaq, a member of the medical staff here in Gaza. I finished my university studies in October 2023</strong>. <strong>I have worked as a volunteer from the beginning of the war until this moment and have never left hospitals</strong>, at the European Gaza Hospital in Rafah, in a complex displacement process that<strong> contains many memories of pain and suffering that no human being can imagine.</strong>

We fled the village of Bani Suhaila to the shelters in our town, leaving behind many memories. <strong>We didn’t know we wouldn’t be able to go home.</strong> A few days later, we also had to flee again to Khan Younis and then to Rafah, and each displacement carried a lot of suffering and oppression inside. <strong>Believe me, I can't describe it because you never felt a day when you don't know what's coming to you and what step you should take next time because this step may cost you the life of a whole family, because you will decide where to run away and look for a safe place..</strong>

<div>Fatma and I worked so hard to build our little family in Gaza, and all we worked so hard for has now been destroyed. We had so many dreams and hopes for our little Ahmed, who is just a one-year-old baby, all our hopes for him in Gaza have also been destroyed. <em>We used to live in a neighborhood in central Gaza called Bani Suhaila, Khan Younis, </em><strong><em>where we had managed to build a small house</em> that later became a warzone and subject to constant bombing by the occupation forces</strong>, forcing us to flee to Rafah finally. <strong>I was a graduate nurse while my wife worked as computer engineer.</strong> I worked in a store for a daily wage and my wife worked in the field of remote programming and we supported each other. <strong>Because of the war, we lost our home in which our laptop for work was also bombed, my wife lost her job and everything we owned. <em>All the money we saved was spent on getting a tent, baby supplies, and some canned food to satisfy our hunger.</em></strong>

<div><strong>"We were displaced approximately eight times</strong>, <em>first to a house belonging to our relatives, then to a shelter center, a school belonging to UNRWA, to Nasser Hospital in Khan Yunis, to a woman's house named Hayat, then to my friend’s house in Rafah, and finally to the camp. </em><strong>We had to evacuate every single one of these places as a result of either a bombing we managed to survive, or the fliers usually air dropped to us by the occupation forces telling us to evacuate to another 'safe zone'.</strong>

<div>"Every day I wake up in the camp, it's the same situation but much worse, more Gazans are killed and the death toll continues to increase, <strong>there's no words to describe how I feel having to live through this, especially for my Little son Ahmed. He's having to grow up in a warzone and being transferred from location to location in order to escape danger. </strong>Many nights I do not even sleep because I am unable to, and <strong>Ahmed is also usually woken up screaming in the middle of the night by the sound of the consistent bombings.</strong> I wish I could sleep one night without the nightmares of my child. <strong>He wakes up in the middle of the night and starts screaming in fear of the sound of warplanes.</strong>

<div>Recently, <strong>Ahmed celebrated his one-year-old birthday</strong> in Tar-al-Sultan camp in Rafah. <strong>Ahmed did not eat well for two months, and he suffered from gastroenteritis and fever in the tent. I fear he's going to starve.</strong> Additionally, I<strong> don't have access to what my baby needs like food, diapers, and proper blankets because of the cold</strong>, there's very little aid and <strong>the prices of very few available commodities have skyrocketed </strong>since the beginning of the war making it nearly impossible for Gazans to afford literally anything. <strong>We're lucky if we get to eat one meal in a day."</strong>

<div>"I will never forget the night we were forced to flee. My family and I were displaced, but in a house in our area, my husband’s uncle’s house next to me was also bombed. <strong>My house was damaged and I was hit, my little child and I, by the grace of God were miraculously saved. </strong>The next Monday, a belt of fire once again struck the area in which we were displaced.<strong> That night, everywhere echoed with the screams for martyrs and people under the rubble. We were blessed once again and we miraculously survived.</strong>

<div><strong>We were displaced</strong> to more than one place in central Khan Yunis, to the hospital, to schools, and <strong>finally to Rafah, in a cold tent, without a bathroom, without light, without firewood, water, or any food. A few days ago, the occupation forces carried out an airdrop and random bombings in Rafah. <em>We</em> <em>are not safe.</em></strong>

<div><strong>My wife and I have lived through multiple wars in Gaza as a result of the occupation, but this time, our only child is having to experience another extreme genocide of Palestinians. We have escaped death so many times</strong>, it even got to a point where we thought our time was coming and we couldn't survive this. <strong>Now, I have renewed hope.</strong> All I want is for my family to survive, all I want is to see my son grow up like a normal child. I want to see my family happy and safe. <strong>I want my child to grow up, eat well, go to school, and have ambitions in life. I want my family in one piece.</strong>

<div>Gaza is my heart, <strong>I wish Gaza was free, and I hope that one day, we will be free</strong>. It hurts a lot to have to leave my beloved Gaza, where I was born and raised,<strong> it hurts to see Gaza being destroyed and turned into rubble, it hurts to see innocent Gazan families live through hunger, death, and the loss of their loved ones.</strong> I'm beyond lucky to still have my family in one piece, that is all I want, I am afraid to lose what is dear to me. My family has to evacuate Gaza and we need your help. We are freezing in the cold, there is no food, no jackets, no milk for my baby and no adequate blankets. <strong>We are developing different types of sicknesses and there is no medical treatment because the hospitals are overwhelmed, some bombed, and there are no spaces available."</strong>
