Help Esther recover
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Deanna and I’m fundraising for my friend Esther Wagaki. She is originally from Kenya and I have known her for about 30 years. She moved to Qatar in Doha about nine years ago and has been working hard ever since to help her family back in Kenya. She was recently hit by a Qatari motorist and broke both pelvic bones an arm and a hand. She is a very strong person is committed to her family, to getting well, and back on her feet. Breaking pelvic bones is extremely painful and makes any movement difficult. She cannot walk yet nor make it to the toilet unaided. She is being discharged from the hospital in Doha and needs a lot of help. She is her mother, grandmother and son’s sole means of support back in Kenya. She has committed herself to lifting up her family by working in Qatar for the Qatari public school system. She earned her teaching credentials and teaches kindergarten. She is much loved by her students and parents. She is very anxious to get back to work and back to the project of helping her mom and grandma build a better home and seeing to it that her son, Trevor gets a good education. By helping Esther, you are also helping a whole family to have enough food and a warm, safe place to live.
Esther cannot walk yet nor use the toilet unaided. She cannot work, shop or leave her apartment until her bones have healed. To push it could mean further injury and delayed recovery.
Here is how funds will be used:
$1164.52/months rent
$944.79/month living expenses
$686.63/month paid caregiver
$500.00/month in recovery related expenses.
multiplied by two months is $6591.88.
It is my goal to help Esther get back to her busy, productive life of caring for herself and others. She is a bright light for a family living through bad economic times, severe droughts and food shortages in Kenya. Your help, no matter how small would mean a great deal to me and to Esther.
