<div>At the end of January 2024 at only 1 year and 4 months old, she suffered a traumatic brain injury leaving only the top right side of her brain unaffected, resulting in significant neurological, cognitive, and physical impairments. She was in the PICU for two weeks, then remained in hospital for two more months. Once she was medically stable, she finally returned home to us.

<div>Estelle is now 3 years old and is still a big ray of sunshine. However, she still has several significant impairments. She has weakness throughout the right side of her body causing her to be unable to sit independently, crawl, stand, or walk.

<div>The funds raised will go towards her intensive neuro rehabilitation. Any remaining funds will go towards medical bills since Estelle did not have her health card during her 2 months in the Children’s Hospital.

<div>Ende Januar 2024, mit nur einem Jahr und vier Monaten, erlitt sie ein schweres Schädel-Hirn-Trauma, bei dem nur die rechte obere Hirnhälfte nicht betroffen war. Dies führte zu erheblichen neurologischen, kognitiven und körperlichen Beeinträchtigungen. Sie lag zwei Wochen auf der Intensivstation und blieb anschließend noch zwei Monate im Krankenhaus. Nachdem sich ihr Zustand stabilisiert hatte, durfte sie endlich wieder zu uns  nach Hause.

<div>Estelle ist jetzt drei Jahre alt und immer noch ein absoluter Sonnenschein. Allerdings hat sie weiterhin mit einigen Beeinträchtigungen zu kämpfen. Ihre rechte Körperhälfte ist schwach, sodass sie weder selbstständig sitzen, krabbeln, stehen noch laufen kann.

<div>Die gesammelten Spenden werden für ihre intensive neurologische Rehabilitation verwendet. Überschüssige Spenden decken die Arztrechnungen, da Estelle während ihrer zwei Monate im Kinderkrankenhaus keine Krankenversicherungskarte hatte.
