The Espinosa Family is a special needs family that is barely able to leave their home. Nitza and Jarvis have 3 beautiful children and two who are wheelchair bound.
Jarvis and Nitza are experiencing one of the most difficult storms of their life.
In the midst of all the "God doesn't give you more than you can handle" Gabby their youngest daughter has been diagnosed with a "Brain Athrophy". Sadly the brain cells and tissue degenerate or die and starts to shrink. At this moment the doctors have seen a significant change in her MRI from 10 years ago (2009). They need Gabby to wake up and show her baseline in hopes that has not disappeared.
Nitza has now had to go on leave from work to stay with Gabby, her husband has stay at home alternating with Nitza's mother to care for their oldest at home. Their daughter Nia is staying with her mom at the Ronald McDonald House because the commute to the hospital is too great to do everyday from their home on public transportation since they have no car.
They live by extremely humble means, in a 3 bedroom railroad apartment for the last 20 years. It does not have handicapped accessibility readily built in. They are living on 1 income with two special needs children and Nia, their middle child, attends a private school on a partial scholarship.
Nitza and Jarvis are not ones to complain about their circumstances and have built an amazing family dynamic admired by all that know and love them. They need our help!! Their lives have been drastically affected in additions to their mobility is affected because of the lack of a vehicle and they are struggling to maintain their middle child in the private school because of the cost.
The funds will be going towards assisting with their home, transportation, daily necessities and their daughters schooling.
