Help Ernie lay Rosie to rest

Donation protected
Sometimes we must say "Goodbye" to those we love way before we are prepared to. Sometimes no matter how prepared we think we are, something always comes up. Sometimes we need help from those we love to put our Love to rest. Sometimes a little goes a long way.

Ernie and Rosie were married for over 50 years. They have two sons and several grandchildren. They even fostered many other children. Ernie and Rosie showed the world love daily and lived "others first". Rosie was a massage therapist and never met someone she couldn't massage! Her fingers were drawn to heal any ache.  Rosie was also an amazing cook! She filled many bellies as well as hearts. As a matter of fact, she is well known for her dozens of sugar cookies she would make at Christmas time! She would bake them by the thousands and give them away as gifts. Just another way she showed others love.

Not one person that knew Rosie is ready to let her go. But, we don't have a choice. At the end Rosie was at peace and knew we could take care of ourselves. She left with a smile on her face. Ernie was by her side, holding her hand. It truly was "till death do us part".

Over the years Ernie and Rosie paid on end of life expenses. They did everything they could to arrange things so that there was no burden on loved ones to bury them. Due to the suddenness of her passing and not enough paid in, some costs are left over for Ernie to cover. This amazing man just doesn't have the funds to cover it. He is slowing down in his later years as well. Any payment plan he could set up would last the rest of his life and that just isn't fair. He should be able to lay his bride to rest and heal so he can relax for the rest of his years.

Costs that their funeral account didn't cover:
*Casket- he chose the cheapest they had
*Weekend fee- they charge more to bury you on a weekend!
*Opening the ground
*Newspaper announcement
*Cemetery fees
*Death Certificate filing fees
*Death Certificate- they charge for every copy

Plus there are costs that someone doesn't consider:
*Fuel- the funeral home is 30 minutes away from Ernie's home one way, he drives an old truck, and he is having to make trips to town daily.
*Budget- Ernie is going to have to learn to take care of the bills and we know mistakes will be made and those can be hard on a social security income.
*Their well dries up every summer and Ernie has to haul water from town to provide water to his home. The water isn't free, he needs new tires because his current ones are bald, and town is 20 miles away. He can't cover funeral costs and water truck costs together.

We are asking you to please help Ernie through a very hard time in his life. The money donated to this fund will be directly put in to his personal account so he can pay the funeral home directly. We aren't asking for much. There will not be any money left over for Ernie's personal gain. If you are uncomfortable donating funds here, his account is with Loveland Funeral Home in La Grande, Oregon.

No donation is too small. Little can add up to a lot! Rosie's funeral is this Saturday the 8th. The sooner we can reach our fund goal the better!
