Help Ernesto Start Music School for Children

Donation protected
My church is helping Ernesto achieve his dream of opening up a music school for poor children. Currently he only has temporary living facilities and must move out soon. The funds will be used to purchase a used recreational vehicle (RV) so that he has somewhere to stay while he teaches children. The church will provide a place for him to park the RV, free of charge and will also provide for his meals & utility expenses. He does NOT charge money to the student children and he only accepts donations if the parents offer.

Ernesto is a music teacher who just recently came into the United States under an asylum visa from his hometown of Nicaragua. He was abandoned by his family when he was 10 years old but fortunately, music saved him from a life of crime on the streets. He left Nicaragua with $1.50 and it took him 18 months to get to a migrant camp in Matamoros, Tamaulipas while he played the flute for funds to travel. While he was in the camp, he used his music talent to start a free music school for children, which was his original reason for coming to the United States. He still does weekly virtual classes with those children who have found homes all over the U.S.

While he was at the migrant camp, he was featured in a short documentary film entitled, "Oh Mercy". You can view the video here: Oh Mercy Film He appears between 5:47 - 7:30 and you can see the camp conditions, music school & children in the video.

Additionally, you can go to his Facebook profile and see all of the pictures and videos of him teaching the children.

He needs the funds immediately as he must move soon from where he is staying. Every time I speak with Ernesto, the music school is all he talks about. I know he will be the happiest music teacher ever, if he reaches his goal.
