My name is Erin Ramey, am 36yrs old and I reside in Westerville, Ohio. I currently work full time in the paint department of Honda Manufacturing Auto Plant in Marysville, Ohio. I am the mother of 4 amazing daughters as well.

I was involved in a bad car accident on Sunday (12/27/20) night! As I was merging onto I70 there was a brown car PARKED/STOPPED with NO lights on in the middle lane of I70! I slammed straight into the back of the car at 50+mph! My car is 100% totaled! My air bags deployed and busted my face up! It took me a second to come-to and realize what just happened because normally you’re not just driving along the freeway, then hit something that brings you to a dead stop!!

My adrenaline was pumping so I didn’t realize immediately the extent of my injuries or feel the pain. So I got out to be the nice person and check on her. As I walked up to the car she attempted to lock the door, but I got to it and flung it open! She then attempted to start her car and leave! I reached in and took the keys out of the ignition! And let her know she wasn’t going anywhere!!! I laid the keys on the roof of my car and informed 911,  they said “good for you”!!

I broke my right ankle in 2 spots, one of which needs surgery in 10 days. My left ankle is sprained. Severe bruising on my chest cavity and ribs, the impact inflamed my bile duct to the point of where the pain was they thought I ruptured my liver!! (I didn’t) I have a severe concussion, and failed the memory assessment they give miserably! I had like 3 CAT scans, 10+ xrays, checked for internal bleeding and so much more! I was admitted to Riverside hospital for 2 1/2 days, where I received the best care!!

I’m lucky to be alive and sure everyone else could agree. The other lady walked away injury free. She was cited for the accident and held 100% at fault! The cops were very upset with her! Like who in the heck just stops and parks their car in the center lane of I70!!!!????? She had no explanation of why!!! Common sense says dont park a car in the middle lane of a freeway at night and then shut your lights out!

To top it off, she has no valid license and her insurance card was expired from last year!! I do have full coverage, but my car is 100% totaled. Unfortunately I owe more on the loan than the car is worth. So will most likely walk with nothing or even debt!

I am employed full time at Honda Manufacturing Auto Plant in Marysville, Ohio. Due to the accident, am now placed on an unpaid medical leave.I now have no income and will be off work until I recover. Possible  surgery could even extend this an additional 6-8weeks. 

Any/all help will be used towards upcoming rent, utilities, living expenses, Ubers to/from doctor appointments, medical treatment, groceries, basic needs and necessities.

*Once I heal I will need rides to and home from work, until I can afford a cheap cash car.
