Help Erin & Travis Recover from a Devastating Accident

Dear Community,

I am starting this page on behalf of Erin Powell and Travis Pierson who were in a terrible and devastating motorcycle accident on the late evening hours of July 4, 2024. Erin is my youngest sister and Travis is her fiancé. They were on their way home from a firework show when this life-altering accident unexpectedly occurred.

Erin sustained numerous critical surgical injuries which required her to be airlifted to the hospital. She then underwent four emergency procedures to repair multiple fractures including both legs, pelvis, and right arm. In addition to the numerous surgeries, her bladder and one kidney suffered lacerations . She is still recovering in the surgical trauma intensive care unit . The recovery road is expected to be quite long that will be physically and mentally challenging.

Travis sustained serious injuries and was hospitalized for a week following the accident. Although his injuries are non-surgical, he has at least two months of recovery ahead of him.

Erin is a stay-at-home mom to her and Travis' four young children; Willow (7), Luna and Lola (4), and Walker (22 months). Travis works full-time and is the sole provider for the family. He has been placed on medical leave for two months.

I am launching this GoFundMe campaign to rally support for Erin as she works towards healing physically and emotionally. Your contributions will directly assist with medical expenses, regular bills, as well as everyday needs. We also know for a fact Erin will be in a wheelchair for some time once she does get released from the hospital and rehabilitation. The family will need a ramp built for Erin to easily access their house.
