<div>My Testimony: I appreciate my mom and love her dearly but who better to tell my story then the women behind the photo. In August of 2023 I lost mobility in my hands and feet to the point where I became completely immobile and was rushed to the ER in VA. After 2 weeks there undergoing a series of tests I was diagnosed with acute neuropathy due to a Vitamin B deficiency which caused me to loose complete mobility. I was transferred to White Oak Rehabilitation Center where Physical Therapy &amp; Occupational Therapy nurses worked extensively with me to help regain some mobility to eat and walk again. Unfortunately after 8 weeks my insurance company decided it was time for me to return home. I begged and pleaded to stay because of not having the right equipment and help when I returned home which just lead to another set of circumstances that were out of my control. From there I continued outpatient therapy 3 days a week for 4 months. It has always been my dream to purchase my own home and in October of 2017 I achieved that goal and fast forward years later who would have imagined my complete world would be snatched from me because of the lack of help and assistance from people who’ve known me my entire life, agencies that offer counseling and state agency who have no funding to help a previous tax paper from gaining any help in site. I have been working since I was 16 years old and been an entrepreneur since then and for a hospital and doctors to tell me I would never regain any feeling in my nerves because that’s how neuropathy works. It affects the nervous system and once those have been destroyed there is no coming back from it even with all the medication I have been taking for almost 2 years. After returning home I was terminated from my 13 year position with a contracting company for the federal government because my short term disability was denied, can you believe it? Another set of circumstances that were completely out of my control. My medical insurance company applied for disability on my behalf, I wasn’t even thinking that far in advance about the chances of me never regaining employment but since then I have been denied not once but twice. All because my doctors fail to adhere to the 15 day turnaround that disability allows for these important forms to be completed and you know why because just like the rest of the world life continues for them but again circumstances that are again completely out of my control. My entire life I have been able to be in control of all my decisions and I have been forced to rely on others for help for instance this go fund me page which I was completely hesitant to even publish. I have always been a hard worker and single mom of 2 for 24 years and have never asked anyone for help but here I am asking friends, family and strangers to hear my plea for help.  I would appreciate any assistance anyone could help with during this difficult time in our lives and continue to keep us in your thoughts and prayers.  Much love.
