Hi, my name is Bridget, and I’m raising funds for my sister, Erica Scharpp. She is caring for our cousin, who is receiving a life-saving kidney transplant today (9/5/2025 at 5 PM PST) in Spokane, WA.

After surgery, he must remain in Spokane for 4–6 weeks to monitor whether the kidney is accepted or rejected. Erica is staying by his side full-time to care for him, but this means she has had to take time off of work, leaving them both in a difficult financial position.

Update on the transplant

My cousin made it through surgery and is now in the ICU. The next 24–48 hours are very important as they monitor him and see how his body accepts the kidney.
