<div>who has spent her entire life putting everyone else before herself. She would never ask for help, which is exactly why I’m asking on her behalf.

<div>I met her in college, and from the day we became friends, she has been one of the strongest, kindest, and most selfless people i’ve met.
</div>

</div>
<div>During college, life threw challenge after challenge at her.
</div>
<div>I remember when she got the call that her father collapsed at work.  And when he went to the hospital they found a brain tumor. Luckily it wasn’t cancer but after having it removed it permanently altered his short term memory leaving him unable to work. 
</div>
<div>Not long after that he got diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma cancer which affects your blood cells and bone marrow.

<div>After all this, she somehow found the strength to continue pursuing her education while also being there for her family through one of the hardest times of their lives. Watching someone balance school, family, and unimaginable emotional stress with so much grace was something I’ll never forget.
</div>

</div>
<div>The financial burden on her family was just as overwhelming. She has a twin brother, so having 2 kids in college at the same time while also navigating mounting medical bills and the loss of her father’s job was very tough on her family. Unable to pay tuition out of pocket, they had no choice but to take out student loans. Without guidance on the different types of loans available, her family unfortunately chose a private lender which lead to four separate undergraduate loans each having interest rates as high as 10% to 14%—and that’s just for her bachelor’s degree.

<div>Despite the cost, she never stopped chasing her dream of helping others. After her father went though surgery to remove a tumor near his spine and seeing how much physical therapist helped him recover, she was inspired to pursue a Doctor of Physical Therapy degree to help others. But following her dream also meant taking on even more student debt.

<div>Today, she is facing over $300,000 in student loans.
</div>

<div>As if that weren’t enough, her family is once again facing the unimaginable. Her mother is now battling breast cancer.
</div>

</div>
<div>Through everything she has endured, she has never complained. She continues to show up for her family, her friends, and everyone around her and shines positivity. She is the first person to offer help, the first person to listen, and the last person to ask for anything in return. She has one of the biggest hearts of anyone I’ve ever known.
</div>

<div>She is about to begin a career that will allow her to change countless lives as a physical therapist, but this mountain of debt will likely follow her for decades. Instead of building a future, buying a home, starting a family, or simply enjoying the life she’s worked so hard for, she’ll be burdened by payments that feel impossible to overcome.

<div>I can’t erase everything she’s been through, but I hope we can lighten the load.
</div>
