<div>Hi, everyone, and thank you for visiting my classroom fundraiser. My name is Jonathan Hernandez and I’m entering my second year of teaching high school Physics and Anatomy &amp; Physiology at a Title 1 school in Texas. This year, I’ll be teaching around 130–140 students and I want to provide them with hands-on, engaging learning experiences that go beyond worksheets and lectures.

<div>In my classroom we have built rubber-band-powered cars, catapults, and egg-drop contraptions in Physics. We have introduced dissection procedures using pickles in a forensic investigation activity, have built anatomical muscle models, and have simulated the steps of digestion with real food items in Anatomy &amp; Physiology. These activities spark creativity, deepen understanding of scientific topics, and overall make learning fun.

<div>However, most of the supplies I used last year came out of my own pocket. I purchased the materials myself because I believe every student deserves a chance to learn by doing. This year I will continue to provide supplies to my students and classroom. I have provided a non-exhaustive list of supplies below, which I purchased last year.
