Salam Alaykum, 

Lately there has been so much occurring in the world, Subhannallah we do not realize the privileges we have by living with clean water. I decided to create a GoFundMe in an effort to put at ease the suffering of communities in Hargeisa, and I’m hoping you can help me. Accessibility to clean water is not granted to everyone in this country. Everyone should be able to have access to pure water! We can all help these communities receive a basic necessity by building a well. The water shortage has been an issue over the years however, it has been heavily impact by COVID-19 now. 

The well is going to be built in Hargeisa in a village where it is needed most. I want to develop a sustainable and efficient well to help the communities for many years to come. The money that we are raising will go directly to the people who manage and build wells. My father has already built a well and I decided to follow in his path. However, the Messenger of Allah (SAW) was asked, “Which charity is best?” He replied, “[Providing] water”. [Abu Dawud] 
In this perspective, as each generation benefits from this water, those who donated in helping build this well will earn a lot sadaqah as well, Inshallah.
