Help Encourage and Support the Benson Family

I’d like to start this by saying the Benson family is a very private close-knit family and is not used to doing things like this when it comes to their personal affairs. A few weeks before Thanksgiving the rock of their family, Beverly, became very ill and has suffered numerous health complications as a result of that. On November 24th she was brought to the Sanford ER in Bemidji for respiratory issues, and was sent to Sanford Medical Center in Fargo ND, where she has been in the ICU since then. It was discovered that she had suffered a heart attack, her heart was very weak and she has suffered many other complications due to that.
Over the past two weeks she has slowly made big improvements, her heart is getting stronger day by day. She has a procedure scheduled for tomorrow to check her heart. She had a big surgery yesterday and came through that very well and has been resting all day, with Rod and her daughters by her side.
We started this page to help keep people updated on Beverly, Rod and their family as we know a lot of people have expressed a lot of care and concern. We appreciate everyone’s thoughts and prayers, please keep them coming!
Although she has made many improvements, she still has a very long road of recovery ahead of her. Her husband Rod, daughters Anitra and Colletta have been by her side daily. They have all been away from home for a very long time already, and will do everything they can to remain by her side, regardless of how long it will be. The family has been staying in a hotel away from home for over two weeks now, and as you can imagine the cost associated with that and being away from home can quickly add up. Anything that anyone can do to help during this difficult time for them would be greatly appreciated by the family. Whether it be monetary, prayers, or words of encouragement, anything would and will help. Again, we appreciate everyone’s care and concern and will try to keep this site updated as things change in this unknown time. Thank you all!!
