Help Emily with Medical and Living Expenses

Donation protected
On January 6th, Emily Coollick was not feeling well and was having trouble breathing. At 2:00am, she called the ambulance and was rushed to UMASS Memorial Medical Center with the flu and double pneumonia. The doctors determined that she was septic and ended up putting her on a ventilator. The Doctors and Nurses took very good care of her there but noted they had limitations with what they could do at their facility. The decision was made to transfer her to Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center on the 12th of January because her Doctors felt that they had the equipment to offer additional care and treatment to help her recover. They have been able to offer these additional treatments to Emily but she is still fighting hard. There has been many ups and downs. Progress followed by set backs. She is still unable to breath on her own. She remains on the ventilator to treat her lungs and is now on dialysis to help her kidney function. She is still not out of the woods. They are keeping her sedated to keep her as comfortable as possible. There is a lot of uncertainty of how long it will take her to recover.

As most of you know, Emily is a single mother with three children, Delano (22), Emma (10), and Anya (9) who are missing her dearly. She enjoys helping coach the girls cheer team, listening to 80’s and 90’s music, and watching Gordon Ramsay. She would do just about anything for anybody. She has already fought and beat Leukemia, so she has proven herself to be a fighter.

Her brother, father, and sister-in-law have decided to try to raise funds to assist with paying off as many bills as possible so that Emily can concentrate on her health and recovery. These funds will be sent to a special account and will be earmarked for her household bills and care.

For these reasons, an initial goal of $5000 is being set to help with these expenses. Please consider gifting what you can. Any amount will help us reach this goal. Please feel free to share this link with others if you wish.

Thank you!
