Help Emily kick cancers ass!

On June 18, 2018 Jessie and Emily proudly and happily welcomed their bright-eyed and beautiful daughter Lennon Theresa into the world. It was during these moments that Emily experienced many health complications and had to undergo multiple tests and procedures to figure out what was causing all of this.

Over a month later, Emily was officially diagnosed with Stage 2 Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma Cancer. With all the excitement of being new parents to Lennon, it has been difficult to be a regular family. They have the overwhelming job of figuring out how to provide and raise Lennon and also deal with this illness.

This major milestone in their lives has been affected by cancer but they are positive they will be able to move through this chapter in their lives with support, love, and care from those who know them.

Emily will have to endure 6 cycles of chemo for 7 days at a time. The doctors are hopeful that with such intensive chemotherapy, one round should be enough. However, there is a possibility Emily will have to do another round of the same 6 cycles immediately following or there is a possibility of radiation.

During this time that is crucial for Lennon’s development to be close to her mom; Lennons father Jessie will have to stay in Saskatoon during Emily’s monthly treatments to keep the baby close and to love and care for their family. This has limited Jessie’s ability to work, which means their expenses will be hard to cover. Not only do they have the financial challenge of raising a newborn, but they also have unexpected medical expenses and travel.

We realize how many lives are touched by cancer regularly – but we are asking for some assistance to help them through this challenging time. They are asking for love and support in many ways, but if possible, helping with the financial costs of this chapter in their lives is ever needed and extremely appreciated.
