Hi Everyone, 
 
In August 2020, my life was forever changed by a car accident. I was sitting at a red light, when the other driver’s brakes went out and hit me from the side. This resulted in a painful injury that has affected every area of my life on a daily basis. What started as a physical injury has become a long and incredibly difficult journey. I'm reaching out to you now because I've exhausted every other option. 
 
For the past five years, I've been in constant pain. My sleep has been completely disrupted which means my body can't rest and recover properly. I've been in and out of physical therapy, spine specialists, and have tried countless procedures, but nothing has been able to bring me back to who I was before. Simple, everyday tasks that I took for granted, such as buying a case of water, have become impossible. I can't lift more than 10 pounds, which makes everything from grocery shopping to cleaning my house a huge struggle. 
 
As many of you know, I was a professional Ballroom and Latin Dance Instructor, which is no longer a career option for me due to the injury. I am a photographer/drone pilot, it is my passion. I love being there for people during their special moments in life, it’s why I do what I do. But the truth is, this accident has made it incredibly hard. I can’t take on the amount of clients I used to because after a long photo shoot, I'm often completely bedridden for days. I try my best to put on a smiling face and work through the pain because I love what I do so much. But the constant pain has affected my ability to fully pursue my passion and that’s the hardest part. 
 
I went through the legal process to hold the at-fault driver's insurance accountable and fought them for 3 years. The small settlement I received didn't even come close to covering my medical bills and they refused to pay anything towards the procedure my doctor recommends. My best option at this point, after trying excessive therapies and procedures, is stem cell therapy. 
 
Stem cell therapy isn't just another procedure; it's the only path that will help me get my life back. This is my last resort, and it's something I can't afford on my own (it is not covered by regular medical insurance). 
 
My goal is to raise $25,000 to cover the cost of this vital treatment. Every donation, no matter how small, brings me one step closer to recovering and regaining my independence. I'm ready to move past this accident, get back to capturing life's moments without pain, and finally heal.
