Em & Matt's Flood Damaged Home Fundraiser

Hey everyone, Matt & my home has been destroyed by the SEQ flood waters. Our street has been cut off & we haven't been able to return to see the extent of the damage. The photo is of our house on Saturday morning before the water rose much higher very quickly. We don't even know how much water got in, but we are completely devastated for everyone in the Rocklea community.

Late Friday night (25th Feb) our granny flat & shed both flooded. My younger brother had all his instruments, music gear, his massive record collection & personal belongings were in the granny flat. We did our best to get it all into the house to protect it but now the house has taken in water we don't know how much will be lost. And everything in the shed will have to be tossed away.

We will have to pay to replace all our furniture, bedding, appliances & personal items, as we dont have any contents insurance. I recently left my job as a contracted arts worker, so I currently have no income.

We tried to put as much of our sentimental & precious stuff away with the time we had and thankfully we were able to fill a small suitcase each when we all evacuated but we're so heartbroken that we have to start over.

Any help you can give to restore our home & our little families life back to normal as best we can would be greatly appreciated
