Dear friends, family, and compassionate supporters,
Update: Yue's infected paw and upcoming surgery has raised the total cost to $24900. Cost breakdown at bottom of page. Check Elly's instagram for ongoing updates.
We are reaching out to you today with heavy hearts to share the heartbreaking story of Elly and her beloved dog Yue who is in dire need of our help. Elly's world was turned upside down when her faithful companion was tragically injured in a hit-and-run accident.
Elly's dog, a source of endless joy, comfort, and companionship, is now fighting for her life. The injuries sustained in this traumatic incident are severe, and without immediate medical intervention, her furry friend's chances of survival are dwindling by the day.
Elly, like many of us, knows the indescribable bond that forms between a person and their pet. Elly and Yue do everything together. While working in Vancouver with disadvantaged youth, Yue escaped for reasons beyond Elly's control. 4 hours later, Yue was found not far from the park they often play in searching for Elly. She had lost a nearly deadly amount of blood, and all the skin on her front paw.
Yue is a rescue who has already faced massive trauma in her 1 year of life and I have personally witnessed the difference Elly has made in improving her quality and enjoyment of life. Through thick and thin, they are there for each other, offering solace and unconditional love. Now, it's our turn to be there for Elly and her beloved canine companion.
What makes Elly's story even more poignant is that her lifelong dog, a companion for 14 years, passed away in May of this year. The pain of that loss was immeasurable, and in her grief, Elly adopted Yue as a companion to help her heal and navigate the difficult journey of mourning.
Currently, the cost of saving Elly's dog has surpassed $10,000. The medical bills are mounting rapidly, and the financial burden is overwhelming for Elly. They cannot do it alone. This is where we, as a caring community, can make a profound difference in their lives.
Every dollar contributed to this GoFundMe campaign will go directly towards covering the mounting veterinary expenses, medications, surgeries, and rehabilitation needed to save Elly's dog.
Your donation, no matter the amount, will make a significant impact on Elly's dog's recovery.
In addition to monetary contributions, please consider sharing this campaign with your friends, family, and social networks. The power of social sharing can help us reach our goal faster and ensure that Elly's dog receives the care she so desperately needs.
Thank you for your generosity and compassion.
With heartfelt gratitude,
Teagan and the Supportive Community for Elly and Yue

⁃ will need a skin graft for her right paw. It won’t heal on its own which would eventually lead to her death if left untreated. (Will be at least $5000)
⁃ Will need to be sedated to get her bandages changed and her wounds cleaned because it hurts too much. This will happen every second day for her first week in out of the hospital. It will be $300-$500 each time. Then, she will need this to happen once a week for at least a month. (Total for this will be approximately $2,400-6,400)
